At Friends of the Woods, our mission is:
To support fire adapted communities, create a wildfire safe community forest park with trails. Facilitate natural resources education programs and projects. Advocate for a local blue collar responsible logging economy.

Join Friends of the Woods in Making a Difference
Tens of 1,000's of acres of unhealthy forests in need of fuels reduction has caught our attention.Recent success includes removing abandoned trash and materials from our local forests and from along our Scenic Byway. We also host public presentations about wildfire, outdoor recreation, and forest management.

Our History
Our team is made up of volunteer board members and non voting advisory board support. We have over 40 years of combined natural resources skills with backgrounds in land stewardship, military service, forestry, small business ownership, municipality mgmt., and wildland firefighting and resource advising on fire incidents.

We work to partner up with a variety of organizations and businesses in our community including: ODOT Adopt A Hwy, Rogue Valley YMCA, Butte Falls Community Forest, Upper Rogue Moose Lodge, BLM Butte Falls Field Office.
